Rihanna Performs “California King Bed” At ACM Awards

Rihanna went west to perform her country-tinged song “California King Bed” with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles at the 46^th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

I think it’s beyond safe to say that vocally, this is Rihanna’s best performance… ever (that I can recall). Although I didn’t like how Jennifer intentionally stole the song, Rih still faired well.

Performing for the biggest Country music audience in the world isn’t common for a pain-seeking Pop star. Rihanna, and her team, was aware that she needed to win the attention of the album-buying Country music listeners. Thus, she delivers a superb performance. Why she can’t do this frequently? Ask her.

Bajan-beauty Rihanna releases “S&M,” the third video from her recently released album LOUD. In “S&M,” the Pop-superstar metaphorically connects sadism & masochism, with her love of the press and their love with her. Sadism, pleasure in inflicting pain or humilation upon another person, refers to the press bashing her to the point where it causes some sort of pain [mostly emotional, but even physical in her case (not really, I just wanted to say that.)]; masochism, pleasure in receiving the pain, refers to herself enjoying the symbolic beating from the judgemental press. 
Overall, the video was very expressive, vibrant and relative. Most will miss the underlying point of the video because she looked like a tramp, but I loved it.

Rihanna covers british GQ Magazine

Rihanna is on the cover of latest british edition of GQ! Click “Read more” to view first outtakes from the hot issue!

Singer Rihanna will be featured on the cover of the United Kingdom’s GQ Magazine next year. In the January 2011 issue, the singer talked about how she has grown as a woman, how people may perceive her new image and new album, as well her new feeling of liberation and freedom following her past relationship and break-up:

“Sometimes when you’re on the inside of a relationship like that, you can’t see it clearly for what it is. I left – it was the best feeling. It was so freeing…I witnessed it happening to my mum and I said I would never let that happen to me – and then it was happening. Now, when I look back, it bugs me out that I couldn’t see it for what it was.” [READ MORE]

The singer also added to the subject by responding to a fan’s question about whether the media will stop asking about her past incident:

“People won’t stop asking about it! It’s f-ckin’ annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some people can’t respect that! I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just making me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!” [SOURCE]

Rihanna Sets Date for "Rated R: Remixed"

Rihanna wants to make you sweat this summer with "Rated R: Remixed", a collection of remixes to tracks from her fourth album. The R&B star has enlisted dance remixer Chew Fu to rework 10 songs from last year's "Rated R", including her No. 1 hit "Rude Boy". The project is due May 25.

Rihanna shot a video for the Stargate-produced, Ester Dean-penned track in New York City a couple weeks ago. Loud will hit stores November 16th.
